TNAI Andhra State Branch Visited to TNAI Headquarters on March 3-4, 2020 with all executive members

Affectionately known as “the lady with the lamp,” Nightingale remains a role model for nurses in the 21st century. She care of soldiers during the Crimean War is legendary, and her thoughts on nursing, ethics and various other topics still resonate today in her published papers and books. 

As it is known to everyone that year 2020 is announced as the   “YEAR OF NURSE AND MIDWIFE “by WHO in commemorating of 200^th  birth anniversary of Ms. Florence nightingale we the GITAM Institute of Nursing has done candle light march in GITAM UNIVERSITY, Visakhapatnam.

Many Nursing students and nursing staff of GITAM Hospital were participated in the program. The program was started at 3.00PM   by admitting tributes with garland to Florence Nightingale bust by the Chief Guest professor K. Siva Ramakrishna garu, Vice Chancellor GITAM, and explained about the importance of Nursing profession and services for the Health and well-being of our Nation. Prof. K V G D Balaji, Registrar GITAM , Principal, GITAM Institute of Nursing given motivational speech to the Nursing students and many other dignitaries shared their views about Nursing.
